I'm Gordon, a wedding photographer, based in Rothesay on the Isle of Bute, covering weddings in the western isles and further afield. I believe that we can only work together if we get to know one another first, so one of the first steps is to meet, either face to face or via Zoom, FaceTime, etc. If we know what makes one another tick, then we can create magic together.

Using a professional photographer, who is used to working under pressure, fitting in with your schedule for the day, is the best way forward. Having covered a great many weddings over the years, I am used to changes of schedule because the kitchen is behind, or ahead of schedule, or even because one of the bridesmaids or maids of honour has gone into labour. These things actually happen! Just a few of the venues that I have covered in the past few years are: Peel Hey (sadly, no longer a wedding venue), Hillbark Hotel, Thornton Manor, Gatwick Manor, many Registry Offices, Aintree Racecourse, Liverpool, Everton, Tranmere Rovers and Bolton Wanderers football clubs, and even castles in Scotland. I have now relocated to the Isle of Bute in Scotland, so available for weddings in that area.
I will be there ready for all the critical moments, whether it is bridal preparation, groom and groomsmen, guests arriving, bride's entrance, exchanging of vows and rings, walking down the aisle on the way out, the confetti shot, chatting with your guests, the speeches, first dance and of course everything in between. Of course, how much is covered depends on how long you book me for. I'm completely flexible and used to guests asking me to take photos of them, their familes, etc and it is never a problem to do this for them. Of course, in today's world we also have same sex weddings too.
Travel Plans
If you are planning to get married outside the UK, in say Spain, the Caribbean, or indeed anywhere else in the world, then it is important to let me know your plans as soon as possible. It is often more expensive to book flights, accommodation, etc close to the date, so I always advise booking well in advance for destination weddings. Although based in Merseyside, I am happy to cover the whole of the UK, plus most of the rest of the world if you need me elsewhere. Prices will be as per UK, plus all incurred expenses. Flights, hotels, meals, taxis/car hire, etc. Please also note that weddings not located on the Isle of Bute will incur charges for ferry tickets and if necessary overnight accommodation if necessary.
Your wedding is all about you, your family and dear friends. Be your true self. Show your fun, quirky personality. Do the things that make you happy. Laugh loudly. Kiss slowly. Hug tightly.
