Choosing your photographer

When you come to choose who is going to photograph your wedding, you can easily become confused. How much do I have to pay? What style do I want? Traditional, reportage/documentary, photo-journalistic, contemporary? Is absolute perfection so important? Must I have group shots?

The answer is that it is YOUR big day and therefore your choice. No one else’s! Your Mums & Dads will probably expect you to have a selection of the standard group shots with your family and wedding party, so why not have a mixture of traditional group shots and more casual, more modern reportage or documentary coverage?

At Viva Photography, we are fully flexible to your wishes and we are not as expensive as you may think!

What we will and won't do

We will be there on time!

It is YOUR big day, not ours, so we will aim to get a balance of great shots, without being too intrusive and disrupting your day too much.

We won’t take over your day bossing people around. That is simply not our style! We’re there to to a job, not to be prima donnas and we don’t want your guests to be left hanging around for ages getting bored, whilst we take forever to do the group shots and photos of the bride and groom.

We will usually provide one photographer working on his own, capturing the day and its atmosphere without being too intrusive.

We will aim to get your main group and posed shots completed in around 30-45 minutes, depending on the availability and cooperation of the participants of course.

Normally we will give you a few hundred shots to choose from. You’ll see every shot we take on the day. The only ones we will remove are some duplicates, where we will choose the best one(s) to show you.

If you choose to have an album, then we will give you various options to choose from to suit your budget, ranging from simple photo books to leather bound Italian designer albums. Then we can decide how many album pages you are having and how many shots can be included.
